Review of Leverag Magic Spiral Hair Rollers

I got my hair cut recently and wanted an easy way to style it.  I went online and looked at lots of stuff, and these hair rollers caught my eye.  They are multicolored and looked fun.

You can get them VERY cheap ($0.01-$3.65) on ebay from Hong Kong if you don't mind waiting 6-8 weeks. I wanted them for my birthday, so I paid a little more for them $9.58.

I watched a youtube video on how to put them in your hair and what it looks like afterward.

Here's how they looked on me:

I had a few hairs that didn't quite make it in the curlers.

Not looking good so far.

So, review:

Speed: took me like 30 minutes to put them all in.
Ease of use: The videos make it look easy.  I think I just need practice.
Results: Not too bad.

  • I did put them on wet hair which is recommended
  • Granted, I only wore them about an hour, blow dried them somewhat.
  • Overnight might result in tighter curls, but my neck will not allow it.
  • I think I'll just do the front part of my hair next time and that'll be a lot easier.

Update:

Just putting the rollers on the front part of my hair cuts down on time and effort.  So, they work better.

I did get some of the extra wide and long rollers.  They are easier to use because you can fit more hair in them and they are more forgiving.  However, they don't give me the results I expected.  They aren't that curly. They just give my hair more body.  I have lots of hair and don't need any more body, but if you do, then maybe they're right for you.
