Dying eggs with Koolaid is super cheap and easy...

Put Koolaid in small containers
I used colors: red, green, purple, blue, and orange
Add some water and stir well

Add egg(s)
Wait 5 min (for color gradients)

Add more water
Wait 5 min

Add more water
Wait 5 min
The adding extra water makes the gradation stripes on the eggs. Although the most concentrated strength left bubbly marks which wipe away easily. Maybe needed more stirring or just being more gentle with it.
The blue and orange ones really are pretty next to each other. Purple looks a little brown.
I rubbed the red off of the eggs when first examining them. Careful, it will stain your fingers! Looks like the last amount of water was the best for not wiping off.
Simple, cheap, and practical. I give it 4 buttons up.
